The aim of this project is to lead as well as coordinate the development of strategic and beneficial partnerships with community and social services that support disadvantaged populations who also have high smoking prevalence. The aim of collaboration with these agencies is to promote organisational change and embed smoking cessation practices into routine client support. Current settings based and partnership driven programs involve working with disadvantaged populations including those with mental illness, substance use concerns, Victorian offenders and disadvantaged young people.

Quit Victoria is an initiative that is dedicated to eliminating the pain, illness and suffering caused by tobacco. Working towards this, my previous role as Correction Project Coordinator involved developing beneficial partnerships with government departments as well as community service organisations that work with prisoner and ex-prisoner populations, where smoking rates are extremely high. Within Victoria's newly introduced Smokefree prisons I was responsible for managing, maintaining and reviewing the provision of smoking cessation support to prisoners and staff. This involved coordinating the ongoing implementation of smoking cessation activities in Victorian prisons, providing recommendations and support to Smokefree Prison Project governance as well as developing resources tailored to address the health and lifestyle needs of prisoners.Additionally, the role entailed leading an international first project that provides pre and post release smoking care to individuals transitioning outside prison to prevent smoking relapse. This involved partnering with organisations that provide transitional assistance for prisoners to increase their organisations capacity to address smoking. Responsibilities required developing and implementing a project plan, monitoring project outcomes and evaluation framework, as well as delivering face-to-face brief intervention training to staff.

My role was to manage data analysis and integrity operations for the IMPROVE research study, a study which analyses patterns of care and treatment outcomes for rare and and under-researched cancers (including multiple myeloma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma and kidney cancer) . I lead data management processes to set up the commencement of the research project for data collection purposes, including the design and development of datasets that collect patient-level clinical data.

Role was to ensure the health service receives accurate casemix funding for patient care. Analysing clinical information including patient diagnosis, complications and treatments to determine hospital reimbursement and funding from the government, and to be used for health research purposes. Contributing towards an ongoing coding auditing program that maximises revenue and regularly communicate with internal stakeholders (clinicians, nurses, management) in relation to health service activity and medical/surgical procedures.
