About Nathan Price, Mps

As the founder and principal consultant of The Academic I/O, I work with university officials to improve the culture and functionality of their institutions with data-driven best practices. I partner with educational leaders to maximize organizational, team, and individual performance and effectiveness through coaching, quality process and program design, and strategic integration. I have successfully implemented interventions that have improved retention, engagement, and diversity outcomes for multiple clients.I also serve as a talent strategy consultant at the University of Minnesota, where I utilize Hogan, 360 data, and leadership coaching to evaluate and enhance the leadership competencies of various roles. I collaborate with OHR and system-wide HR leaders to support the development and implementation of best practices and frameworks for inclusive and efficient work environments. I help senior leaders to interpret and respond to survey data, and to align their strategic plans with their vision and goals. My passion for improving higher education stems from my academic background in industrial and organizational psychology and business administration. I have a master's degree in I/O psychology from the University of Maryland, and a dual bachelor's degree in business administration and psychology from Henderson State University. I have also gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant, a resident director, an assessment specialist, and a recruitment selection consultant in various educational settings. I am skilled in instructional design techniques, personnel training and development, culture and diversity education, performance management, organizational development, coaching, mentoring, and team building. I provide training to both I/O psychologists and higher education professionals to establish and spread the best practices to every institution. I am committed to co-creating a new environment in higher education that is data-driven, evidence-based, and people-centered.
