I am a higher education professional and licensed professional counselor who believes in a broader view of learning. I believe that institutions have a responsibility to foster and support the whole student and the multitude of intersecting identities that they hold. I believe that knowledge is only the start, and that we can also impart health, compassion, and empathy to our students in the time they spend on our campuses.As a leader in career services, I believe that the sustainability of career is as important as the attainment of a career, and that we have to help our students to establish a healthy concept of work that reflects in their own lived experience. I have experience in both college career services and mental health counseling. My research interests involve how postsecondary institutions relate to and impact student mental health, and their subsequent readiness to leave our campuses and be successful citizens and professionals. I'm excited to connect!
