During my time at Northern Illinois University, I have taken on a number of responsibilities and have led academic teams to great success. As part of a senior project in Quality Management and Assurance, I led a team of 5 upper classmen and facilitated the interviewing of industry professionals, coordination of research, and build a project portfolio and final presentation. These efforts resulted in one of the highest scores in the course and tremendous accolades from university staff and peers.Additionally, I have been elected as Executive Housing Manager for Sigma Nu Fraternity for 2 consecutive terms, where I brought significant improvement to the quality of life of more than 78 resident members. Having responsibility for the overall safety and well-being of the residents, I implemented and managed regular maintenance activities and delegated work as needed to insure acceptable health and safety inspections. I planned, coordinated, and executed a large project to rehabilitate and install an industrial kitchen in the facility and I fully facilitated the renovation of common spaces throughout the building. As the elected Vice President of the Order of Omega at Northern Illinois University, I directed efforts in the recruitment and recognition of Greek life students with distinctive academic achievements and collaborated on the installation and transition of chapter officers. As an ambassador representing Northern Illinois University and Order of Omega, I motivated members to have a positive and inspiring impact on all people they come in contact with.
