New product development and design including: component specification preparation, troubleshooting and testing of new products, and documentation development. Work closely with marketing to bring products to market.Job duties include:•Initiate market research studies and analyse findings to understand customer/market opportunities•Travel overseas to evaluate and approve product manufacturing processes.•Design proof of concepts (POC), user-scenarios, and requirements for new products•Manage development and production of PerfectSense sensor product line•Oversee projects to enhance and expand NexLight's 2-Wire lighting control hardware and software•Coordinate and conduct bi-weekly Design Review Meetings to ensure on-time delivery of products•Train team members and sales partners in the design, install, and programming of new products•Successfully coordinate for and represent the company in offsite meetings and annual trade shows•Cross-functionally trained in all departments
