• Lead UX/UI content review for Zoho's 50+ products, serving over 80 million users globally. • Review copy for products in various stages of development, writing and re-writing it to ensure users find it clear, consistent, and useful. This includes implementing UX/UI best practices, as well as examining the content design to fix any flow issues.• Conduct content audits on full modules and products as needed.• Liaison between sales teams and product teams to communicate and fix UX/UI copy issues the former may have noticed or that may have been identified via customer feedback.• Oversee the company-wide UX/UI style guide and work with teams to ensure adherence to Zoho style. Help teams develop product-specific style guides upon request.• Coach UX and marketing writers on best practices and positioning, as well as voice/tone and grammar.• Achievement: Increased content review productivity by 115%—from 262 finalized docs in 2022 to 564 in 2023—by cultivating cross-functional relationships with product teams.

• Reviewed marketing content (webpages, blogs, social media, newsletters, etc.) and knowledge base help content for Zoho's Sales and Marketing product suite, editing for clarity and optimizing for SEO while coaching writers to improve their skillsets. I continue to work in this capacity—though for fewer teams—even after pivoting to UX/UI review.

• Scripted multiple crowdfunding videos for Film Lab Creative, a production house in the Houston area. Clients included Knocki, a Kickstarter campaign that raised $1,144,399 (of a $35,000 goal) and was featured on Wired and The Verge, and FlipStool, an IndieGoGo campaign from the creators of The Insider Bat that raised $29,776.• Scripted radio ads for Advia Credit Union (via James and Matthew, a Boston ad agency).• Curated and produced Nathan’s Tour of Houston, an adult coloring book that served as the main reward for a Kickstarter campaign. Chose Houston locations to feature and wrote/edited descriptive copy for each. Collected photographs of Houston locales and commissioned artists to create line drawings from the photos for the book, which was well-received in the Houston area.• (2005) Wrote freelance articles in various capacities for Relevantmagazine.com and the University of Houston Alumni Magazine. At the latter, wrote a front-page feature about UH Law School graduates, which provided the opportunity to interview a former Texas Supreme Court Justice and prominent Houston lawyers.• Various copywriting and editing including SEO content, social media posts and more.

• Wrote feature articles for print newsletter The Point Monthly. An issue focused on planned giving led to a scholarship being set up to help lower-income children attend the church’s school.• Oversaw social media for the church’s worship venues (traditional, contemporary, modern),each of which required a different voice. Included writing weekly eNewsletters using MailChimp.• Crafted compelling copy for internal and external digital and print communications, refiningthe message to play to the strength of each specific outlet.• Copy edited and proofread promotional materials using the AP Stylebook and an in-housestyle guide, which I also maintained.• Other contributions: Wrote annual fundraising letters. • Produced a monthly full-color newsletter that was mailed to over 1500 households. Laid out text, chose and placed images, wrote articles and copy as needed, edited content throughout and printed the final piece. Also adapted the newsletter for digital distribution.• Produced weekly service leaflets for four English-language services and one Spanish-language service. Laid out text, wrote news blurbs, proofread/edited content and printed finished product.

• Edited and wrote copy for a weekly newsletter, helping to transform a publication with a dated look and feel into a modern piece that disseminated church information in a clearer, more focused way.• Decreased publicity expenses by transitioning many church publications to a digital platform, a task which proved a challenge given the advanced age of congregants and their preference for physical pieces. Helped strike a balance between digital and physical publications that was well-received.• Helped conceive, edit, write content for, layout, and launch a quarterly magazine, through which the communications department told engaging stories about the life of the church, illustrating to congregants the ways church funds were spent.• Assisted with a complete re-branding of the church visual identity in 2008.
