Consultant specializing in Workstation and Server OS deployment and management using SCCM, vbScript, PowerShell, and related automation technologies to reduce engineer touch-time per PC during migration and remediation projects. Worked with technologies including Active Directory (AD), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Operating System Deployment (OSD), WinPE, PXE, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), User State Migration Toolkit (USMT), PowerShell, vbScript, C++, AutoIT, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM), System Center Orchestrator (SCOrch), MS SQL Server, DHCP, DNS, Windows Server Migration Tools (WSMT), BitLocker, Group Policy (GPO), and other technologies as required.

Primary responsibilities included developing Windows workstation images with standard software loads for 30,000+ PCs at NASA. Interfaced with NASA standards committees to evaluate new software standards, make recommendations, and accept feedback to ensure interoperable, secure computing platforms for NASA office functions. This included a quarterly roadmap including new requirements, test/QA builds, soliciting feedback and incorporating changes into a production-ready gold image 4 times a year. Secondary activities included fully revamping the image build process from a partially-automated, monolithic, highly manual process based on 'gold' hardware to a fully-automated, modular, repeatable automated process based on virtual machines. Other responsibilities included Active Directory, SCCM, VMWare, Hyper-V, Dell PowerConnect layer 2 switch, and PC/server hardware management for a full test environment used for image development and validation. In addition to Windows images, RedHat Enterprise Linux kickstart install media were customized and provided for use on RHEL-certified models in the standard hardware catalog. Ubuntu media were also prepared for evaluation during my tenure in this role. Worked in a small team environment collectively responsible for images for 70,000+ PCs targeted to the same customer requirements in different environments.

On-site, Tier 2+, and executive helpdesk support for A. Schulman Incorporated. Responsibilities included provisioning, deprovisioning, and maintaining the images for PCs, handling ticket escalation as well as walk-up problem reports for Windows NT and XP, printers, PC hardware and software, other support topics as required at A. Schulman's corporate office in Fairlawn, Ohio.
