Current Part 2 Architecture Student studying at Queen's University Belfast, with aspirations of becoming a Specialist Conservation Architect in the future. Are primarily interested in sustainable building conservation, and renovation as a means of producing energy efficient buildings, in response to climate change. Have engaged in conservation projects (not just limited to conservation projects) in Shanghai, Crete, and the UK. The most recent project I have taken part in focuses on de-carbonising the National Library of Wales, located in Aberystwyth. I am fascinated in the vernacular architecture of various civilisations, around the world, and in how its design is shaped to suit its climate. In addition, I am interested in Passivhaus, and its adoption of designing in accordance to climate, as well as its EnerPHit standard.
