As an LSAT instructor, I taught and tutored students according to the Powerscore curriculum in logical reasoning, logic games and reading comprehension. I mainly taught full-length classes (twenty, four-hour sessions over two to three months), but also my fair share of accelerated courses (four, four-hour sessions in one weekend). I even taught an “LSAT Bootcamp” seminar in front of seventy people a couple times! I tried to keep the mood of the class light, infusing the lessons with humor when I had the chance, and I found that my teaching style worked well with the material. The results speak for themselves—some students of mine increased their scores by over 10 points, and I had several students go on to score 170+. Students I taught and tutored went on to Yale, the University of Chicago, Georgetown University Law Center, Emory, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Howard University, the University of Mississippi, Charleston School of Law, and the University of South Carolina.

Georgia Interpreting Services Network (GISN) is a small nonprofit that provides American Sign Language interpreters to facilitate communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. In my role as assignment coordinator, I received requests from businesses and organizations in need of our services and matched those requests with the 80+ freelance interpreters on our roster. Because of my knowledge of sign language, I was also the public face for GISN at marketing events and conferences, signing up over 50 new customers. As an essential part of my job, I stayed on call 24/7 to deal with any emergency requests or last-minute cancellations that arose.I was originally half of a team which was collectively responsible for 60% of GISN’s total workload. After two months, the other member of my team left, so I volunteered to cover her requests. I was summarily promoted to the sole full-time assignment coordinator. In substantive terms, this meant that I fulfilled around 200-250 requests and scheduled between 450-500 interpreters every month.
