Key Successes:• Lead for integrating clinical and workforce data to develop a more detailed picture of VCH’s physician workforce. • Acquired detailed multi-year patient level (anonymized) physician claims data for physicians practicing within Vancouver Costal Health’s geographic boundaries to support planning, analysis, and accountability initiatives. • Executed data agreement between VCH and the BC Ministry of Health to enable patient linking of physician claims data to VCH internal health data to better understand continuity of care, re-admission, population health, and service delivery across VCH’s geographic catchment area. • Secured access for the team to the Tableau Server where we now administer and deploy a Medical Affairs Site to: improve access to accountability measures, distribute workforce survey results; distribute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion results, • Secured access for the team to VCH’s patient level clinical data holdings to support contract accountability, business case development, and workforce analysis. • Mentored and developed staff capacity to understand and independently analyze inpatient, ambulatory, and surgical data. • Significantly increased the scale of data accessible to the team.
