I have worked on many projects during my time at Assystem. The project that was of most interest to me was a project for A400M. I was involved in a project team, where we had to provide stress analysis to over 400 electrical brackets in the leading edge region of the wing. My involvement in this project ranged from the analysis stage all the way through to producing a stress dossier. This dossier was then put forward to Airbus to show our findings. During the analysis stage of the project I had to apply loads to different brackets ensuring they were safe enough for manufacture. In some cases redesign had to be applied where the brackets were failing. Throughout the project I had to use different material specifications, with some brackets being made from different aluminium variations. For the duration of this project I became very familiar with Microsoft office programs such as Excel and Word. I thrived under the added responsibility given to me and picked up methods and procedures very quickly. I worked hard to meet my deadlines, where I worked extra hours and a few weekends to ensure the project was delivered on time. During my time at Assystem I have gained knowledge on using Patran, a stress analysis software, whilst working on an A350 project. I also have a good understanding of CATIA which is used by designers in the aerospace industry, where I have completed and passed a two week course in.
