Nathan Rix is a mission-driven strategist and project, program and portfolio manager with Deloitte's Management Consulting Practice. He is a proven leader with 15 years’ experience leading 5-week assessments through 2-year, large-scale project and program implementations, with a focus on improving government through technology use and public policy innovation. He is based in Manhattan out of Deloitte's 30 Rockefeller Center Office.Prior to joining Deloitte, Nathan served in eight, full-time leadership roles within Oregon state government, spanning three governor administrations. He led the development of the nation’s third recreational marijuana program and advised the Oregon Health Authority in establishing the nation’s first psilocybin (“magic mushroom”) therapy program. Additionally, Nathan was responsible for implementing a comprehensive project portfolio to transform Oregon’s child safety system. He is a Teach for America and AmeriCorps alum, private pilot, and lifelong learner.
