Nathan also took on the ownership of the project Action Items and Decisions List, communicating with disciplines after every meeting and pulling action items from each issued Meeting Minute. Lead Process Engineer

Dallas, Tx, Us

Next Gen Manufacturing Facility, West Greenwich, Rhode IslandClient: AmgenThe culmination of his three-project, seven-year relationship, Nathan lead the process design team for Amgen’s $150MM flexible, next generation manufacturing showcase facility in Rhode Island. This facility was based upon Amgen’s Manufacturing Facility of the Future in Singapore, utilizing advanced single-use equipment for flexible and efficient manufacturing methods. Nathan and his design team partnered with a modular fabrication company to take the existing process within the Singapore facility, add the ability to manufacture three additional products, and established a platform for modular, flexible, single-use facilities. The team was able to finish preliminary design of the facility without the knowledge of a final construction location, a testament to the “platform” nature of our facility. As lead process engineer, Nathan was responsible for: staffing plans, work assignment, team training, PIDs, process equipment, clean utility calculations, safety valve calculations, and user requirement specifications.Renovation of Building S12 for CAR-T Manufacture, Summit, NJClient: Celgene Nathan was involved within the CAR-T project from the proposal presentation all the way through delivery of process equipment. In the early stages of the project, he worked with the client to refine the existing process as it did not have the needed throughput to meet the projected demand for the product; Nathan needed to react quickly to adapt the PFDs to scale-up the process. Once the process was defined, he was responsible for creation of an equipment list and equipment P&IDs. As the project progressed, Nathan reviewed process equipment packages and vendor drawings to ensure proper integration into the constructed facility. Nathan was the interface between equipment vendors and other disciplines on the project, a vital contributor to architectural layout and building automation discussions.
