I was promptly promoted to Director of Training at Finxact, where I assumed managerial responsibilities for the organization’s team of Training Consultants and more recently, a subset of Technical Writers.During my tenure as Director of Training, I’ve overseen a comprehensive evolution of our functionally focused L&D processes, capabilities, and channels. This includes the ground-up development of a standardized and comprehensive two-week instructor-led training program leveraged to train new hires, contractors, partners, and clients, as well as the large-scale enhancement and maintenance of our next-generation, self-service, web-based Finxact Learning Portal.I lead frequent collaborative training needs analysis sessions with high-profile clients to build relationships with key stakeholders, evaluate specific training or consultative needs, and oversee the development and delivery of bespoke curricula in a time-sensitive manner.My leadership and management skills have also been leveraged cross-organizationally. In addition to maintaining leadership of our functional L&D team, I’ve managed special support and services initiatives for high-profile clients. Our success in these efforts resulted in normalized defect backlogs and issue turnaround times, increased client support resource system knowledge, and the implementation of improved processes and workflows.

My move to Finxact saw me transition from full-time implementation responsibilities to focus on product training and learning & development for the company’s namesake next-generation “core as a service” banking solution.In this role, I was responsible for developing and maintaining holistic Finxact system subject-matter expertise and creating a diverse range of learning artifacts to disseminate this knowledge internally to our employees and externally to our clients. These artifacts included formal documentation (conceptual, procedural, and reference material), SCORM-compliant eLearning modules, and instructor-led training curricula and scripts.In addition to formulating documentation and curricula, I was responsible for delivering instructor-led programs to internal stakeholders, prospective clients, implementing clients, and existing production clients. This included both formal curriculum delivery and workshop-based Finxact system consultation and support.Operating in the context of a startup, my responsibilities at times extended beyond strictly L&D-related tasks. During my time as a Senior Training Consultant, I also collaborated with other general ledger subject matter experts to develop replicable daily GL balancing and reconciliation workbooks and procedures still in use by the company. This work culminated in my participation in one of Finxact’s most high-profile conversions to date as the GL balancing and reconciliation lead.

This role required me to serve as a subject matter expert for both the FIS legacy Profile core banking platform and the next-gen Modern Banking Platform.During this time I gained experience leading implementation initiatives for various functional areas, including funds availability, customer communication, general ledger, ACH, fee, and report processing. As a product of this experience, I was able to play an integral support or co-lead role in multiple successful direct-bank implementations for large retail banking clients, in both the US and Canadian markets.In addition to the primary responsibilities associated with this role, I was also designated by leadership to be a mentor and team lead for the 2018 Profile Technical Development class.

I was hired as a member of the renowned FIS E01 Technical Development program in April 2016, which became the first E01 class to support the FIS Profile core banking solution.My responsibilities during this time spanned multiple areas of both the legacy system and software development life cycle, including initial implementation, defect identification and resolution, and post-production enhancements. In conjunction with this experience, I was able to lead several stand-alone enhancement initiatives for US clients. These projects necessitated the gathering and documenting of requirements, identifying functional gaps, and mocking up potential solutions.

Upon my graduation from college, I was invited to continue at the bank as a member of the lending operations team. During this time, I focused on reviewing loan files and documents, and performing final post-closing audits of the same.Additional responsibilities for this role included researching and gathering data on loans and deposits, producing documentation to present my findings, and conducting daily maintenance checks on the lending operating system.

As a seasonal intern, I worked as part of the customer service team recording transactions, handling large amounts of cash, and balancing my drawer on a daily basis.At the forefront of this role was constant, knowledgeable interaction with bank customers, and cross-selling products to fulfill their needs.
