Responsible for oversight of a department which was comprised of up to 3 managers and two teams totaling 28 employees with varying levels of experience from technician to Senior Scientist. Managed a budget exceeding one million dollars, as well as multi-million dollars in both assets and revenue, while achieving performance standards in the areas of data quality, new product roll-out, and quality assurance and quality control compliance.

Worked with clients to establish project specific data quality objectives (DQO's). Also coordinated with in-house scientists to insure proper implementation of DQO's in the laboratory. Interfaced with the method development staff to implement or research new analytical techniques or methodology.

Opened a new division for the company in the biological sciences field. Developed the product, marketing materials and generated sales leads. Achieved national certification to perform molds and spores analysis through the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).

Responsible for coordinating all team activities within the structure of the company to achieve established production goals. Supervised 14 individual scientists and analysts of varying degrees of experience to produce 60% of the company’s revenue.

(Analyst) - Responsible for daily production activities within a dynamic team structure. These activities included operating HP GC/MS systems within both company and project specified QC guidelines. Analyzed samples and reported data to clients using both commercial and proprietary software. Reported to both team scientists and a team leader. (Scientist) - Responsible for scheduling activities of analysts and coordinating project schedules with the team leader to meet in-house and client specified dead lines. Also had continued responsibility for maintaining daily production activities.
