• Performing in house and field investigations of a broad range of products against the provisions of UL, CSA, IEC and CENELEC standards as a Product Safety Consultant. Performed investigations for European Directive requirements as well as submittals for US listings through a NRTL and Canadian listings through SCC approved laboratory. Specific focus on Laboratory Equipment, ITE, Medical Equipment, Household Appliances, Spa Equipment, Audio / Video Equipment, Industrial Machinery and Controls.• Perform product design reviews against requirements of electrical safety standards for the US, Canada and Europe.• Suggest design changes and component alternatives to client equipment not meeting the requirements of the standard.• Research new equipment; design test assemblies and processes to increase engineering efficiency.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior compliance engineers.• Performed initial factory acceptance inspections and quality documentation reviews as well as manufacturer’s quarterly inspection audits for a NRTL for compliance to OSHA requirements for listed products.

• Engineer and certified reviewer at a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) responsible for conducting electrical safety evaluations of a broad range of products against the provisions of ANSI, CSA, UL, IEC, FM, ISA, CENELEC, JIS, NFPA, NSF Standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Performed field investigations of products installed at final locations based on requirements of local Authorities Having Jurisdictions and inspection authorities working independently or leading a group of multiple engineers. • Managing a team of three engineers, providing guidance and reviews of all project files completed. Directly responsible for $120,000 in revenue production per month. • Responsible for the training of an engineering team of 6 engineers in aspects of planning and formulating engineering programs according to project requirements. • Responsible for implementation of Corporate Quality Manual, perform required Quarterly and Annual Audits; review projects design for compliance with engineering principles, customer contract requirements and related specifications. • Evaluate, review and approve testing procedures and test results; prepare technical reports for product certifications for all World Markets under CB Scheme as well as Medical Device Directive (MDD), Explosive Atmosphere Directive (ATEX) & Low Voltage Directive (LVD) for European Union (EU) compliance under the CE mark.• Have specific knowledge base and expertise in the following products types: Medical Equipment, Laboratory Equipment, IT Equipment, Electric Distribution Equipment, Lighting Equipment, Hazardous Locations, Gaming Equipment, Audio/Video Equipment, Laser Equipment, Household Appliances, Spa Equipment and Industrial Control Equipment.
