I am a tax professional with 15+ years of broad tax experience helping asset managers navigate their complex federal US tax issues by combining broad technical knowledge with practical expertise. Today, based in Houston Texas, I am a Tax Director with PwC’s US Financial Services Asset and Wealth Management practice. I serve as a trust tax advisor to many alternative investment funds, private equity houses, asset managers and venture capital firms. I focus on helping clients assess, manage and comply with their US federal and state tax reporting responsibilities. I assist clients with identifying and implementing fund and investment structuring solutions to optimize the tax efficiencies of their funds and investment acquisitions and dispositions. I have extensive experience in partnership transactions, including investment partnership fund/deal structuring, international tax issues (such as PFICs and CFCs) and corporate/partnership/individual tax compliance. I also work with fund partners/principals on carried interest reporting and forecasting, particular for partners living and working in the US as well as non-US persons seconding to the US.My clients chose to work with me because I take the time to listen to their needs and provide practical solutions to their complex US tax issues.
