    President

I formed Philadelphia Game Lab as a non-profit entity (501c3) focused on creation of productive game technology and content, working in close collaboration with industry and universities for insight and talent. It was funded by execution of commercial works that I brought in, and employed as many as 38 full time developers. I defined and ensured resources for projects emphasizing audio, sensors, CG, and data knowledge and re-use.In addition to commercial funding, we received financial support from the Knight Foundation and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (both in response to proposals I created).
  • Superfluid
    Ceo
    Superfluid Jun 2009 - Jul 2011
    Us
superfluid was a currency-based platform for social project management and collaboration within the sharing/gig economy. I conceived the financial aspects of the model as extensions of successful strategies in gameplay, especially World of Warcraft, and formed it as an IRS-compliant method of online transaction. I marketed the initiative, receiving strong notice from conventional press (including Le Monde) and writers focused on the sharing economy. These efforts drew in enough service provider offerings that we beat the VC-skeptics' warning that we'd have a "chicken and egg" problem with our marketplace; however, we were not able to drive active enough usage of these services to claim a win.
  • Gameflood
    Principal/Co-Founder
    Gameflood Oct 2005 - Jun 2006
I co-founded this entity to enable the distribution and sale of incremental in-game content. I built the business model and presentation deck that sold this effort as the first F2P technology initiative in the US. It was funded and then thrived for several years after my departure, later pivoting to a focus on serving the "modding" community.
