Nathan Tinker joined Connecticut Pharmacists Association (CPA) as CEO in September 2018.In this role, Nathan is responsible for overall leadership of the CPA and its two other entities, the Connecticut Pharmacists Foundation and the Connecticut Pharmacy Services Corporation. He also serves as Editor of The Pharmacy Journal of New England.The CPA is a professional organization with approximately 600 members representing pharmacists, pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, and pharmacy technicians throughout the State.

As CEO Nathan served as the primary spokesman and advocate for New York state’s life science industry, overseeing all aspects of the association's management, finances, policy/advocacy, communications, member growth, and business development. Nathan served as the founding Executive Director of the Cancer Vaccine Consortium (CVC)—a coalition of pharmaceutical and biotech companies, universities, and laboratories working on the development of cancer vaccines—reorganizing and managing the Consortium’s programs, services, and member development. In 2000, Nathan co-founded the NanoBusiness Alliance, the national trade association of the nanotechnology business community. During his tenure with the NbA, Nathan oversaw all research, communications, public relations and industry development initiatives of the NbA. Primary to NbA's mission is driving federal public policy in support of the nanotechnology community. In addition, Nathan led the NanoBusiness Development Group, the NanoBusiness Alliance’s consulting division. Under Nathan’s leadership, the NBDG has performed a wide variety of business development, consulting and management services for companies, governments and agencies around the globe. Nathan’s clients have included the governments of the United States, Canada, Japan and Taiwan; Fortune 500 companies; and start-ups.

In 1997, Nathan joined the leadership team of Niehaus Ryan Wong, Inc., as a Director in the New York office and launched the company’s research group, the NRW Business Intelligence Bureau. NRW BI was the first such competitive/market analysis initiative to be launched by a medium-sized PR firm. Under Nathan’s leadership, NRW BI grew to more than $2 million in revenues within 18 months of launch.

Nathan had a successful tenure as an executive at Golin/Harris International, heading the company’s New York-area Issues and Intelligence Group, and providing communications research and industry intelligence to corporate clients including Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler, Sprint, Mastercard, Consolidated Natural Gas, CSX and McDonalds. Nathan also developed and launched Golin/Harris’s Issues and Intelligence Group, which provided strategic and tactical competitive intelligence, industry insight, and daily media analysis and strategy to clients, creating a myriad of opportunistic PR hits for a variety of clients.
