The Chief Public Affairs Officer represents Allied Rapid Reaction Corps and all subordinate commands, including entities in Europe, in the public’s eye. The Public Affairs Office manages the public perception of the Command, the corporate image of the Command and manages Command information products and news.

Delivered the training and education of c.200 mid-level leaders (Majors) for three years. Supported the development a comprehensive syllabus that included planning, leadership, analytical and communication skills, tactical and technical understanding of operations, and the Management of Defence. Lead for the Management of Defence module.The Intermediate Command and Staff Course (Land) prepares newly promoted Majors for positions in staff posts at SO2 grade and for sub unit command. It forms part of the Joint Service Command and Staff College and is located at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Watchfield, Oxfordshire

Head of the Find-Protect Branch within the Royal Artillery Gunnery Training Team. Team consists of an Unmanned Air System (UAS) Section, a Surveillance and Target Acquisition (STA) Section and an Air Defence (AD) section.Responsible for supporting collective training of British Land Forces in the UK and overseas including regular deployments to operational theatres and overseas training exercises.Equipment supported includes:UAS: WATCHKEEPER, Hermes 450, Desert Hawk 3 and T-HawkSTA: All in service Base-ISTAR and Weapon Locating radars including Mamba, Cobra and LCMR.AD: Rapier, HVM and Land Environment Air Picture (LEAP)

Responsible for the provision of overarching assurance of the appropriate safety, coherence and risk identification and management of all Army and Special Forces Unmanned Air System flying operations.Developing and maintaining mechanisms and procedures to provide the Delivery Duty Holder (DDH) with the necessary assurance that the risk of flying operations is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).

Deployed operationally twice, with responsibility for up to 395 personnel, both Officers, soldiers and civilian contractors.Oversaw the introduction of the Hermes 450, Desert Hawk 3, and Seeker II capability into Afghanistan.Also supported the deployment of ASTOR and HERTI into Afghanistan.Awarded MBE for services in Afghanistan in 2009.

Focused on the WATCHKEEPER UAS project from contract signing to Critical Design Review and design freeze over a 2 year period.Responsibilities included contract negotiations, design reviews, liaison with customer 1 (MOD) and customer 2 (HQ DRA - Headquarters Directorate of Royal Artillery).Also involved in the procurement of Hermes 450, Desert Hawk 3, Remover and Revivor.

Based in Germany.Deployed operationally to Bosnia and on the initial deployment to Kosovo.Deployed on exercises in Germany and Canada.
