Initiated in 2021, VIZIO's Ad Tech organization focuses on building innovative ad tech tools. Nathan, the Vice President of Engineering, played a key role in establishing and growing the organization from the ground up. His teams:- develop products and services that mediate $1 million in ad revenue each day,- monetize first-party data through VIZIO's proprietary DMP,- create custom ad sales and operations tools,- service every ad request from VIZIO televisions,- and enhance VIZIO's involvement across multiple verticals in the ad tech industry.

Led the Ad Tech Engineering org at VIZIO.

While growing the ad tech org, I became a manager of managers.

Recruited, hired, and managed teams of software engineers to build new products in supply-side ad tech at VIZIO.

Leading a team of eight to write auto dealership management software, effectively turned a team around to deliver high impact product features, which led management to rapidly expand my team in size and scope.

Led a five-person team in developing and maintaining customer-facing applications that allowed users to manage campaigns and pacing for programmatic video ad auctions. Additionally, rebuilt an SSO platform, supported front-end UI / back-end APIs, while mentoring junior developers and defining team culture.

As the principal engineer on five insurance agency products, spearheaded development of a new Customer Relationship Management software suite that included a UI, RESTful APIs, integrated browser-based phone interactions, sales tools and tracking, optimized data structures and ETLs for faster reporting, and a Chrome extension that cut sales call times in half.

Led a three-person web team in creating websites, academic tools, scholarship applications, electronic newsletters, marketing materials, and social media profiles for a college, its eight departments, a dozen research organizations, and dozens of faculty members.

Instructed engineering graduate students in advanced reading, writing, and verbal English to enhance their preparation for CET and TOEFL examinations.

As a full-time student employee, designed and built websites and electronic communications. Brought registration forms and "paper" student processes online for the first time.
