I also am an escalation point for all matters relating to the application that are not able to be resolved by others. My long experience with the application has given me a full perspective and ability to find and solve issues quickly. Troubleshooting may involve SQL Queries, searching logs in tools like Splunk or on the server, evaluating issues in Appdynamics, or working with different teams to investigate details. I have also been involved in much of the evolution of the application as we migrate into AWS, containerize the application for AWS and add needed ENV’s and components as we begin to utilize the REST API abilities in the application. My exposure to code and repositories has allowed me to make trusted changes in the code in Bitbucket and work with the Agile Trains to get those changes into the pipeline. Show less -

After moving to Guardian I was the main coordinator for the migration of all 300+ connections to the new standard platform and the network and permissions that went with it. This application was Linux based and I had to learn how to navigate to do certain investigations. Because of this exposure I was able to work a new team on a process to automate some Disaster Recovery (DR) processes that were broken. Was able to enhance the Linux BASH Script to have breaks, and reports to show progress for each item and added several spots of error handling without any understanding of BASH scripting at the beginning. I also learned and created a Python Script to run against the FTP system to evaluate the validity of certain certificates that were used for encryption and authentication in the SFTP process. It then takes this information, formats the data and sends an HTML email notifying the team of upcoming expirations so that renewal activities can be planned. I also maintained a strong support role for the leave of absence application (LeavePro) and the other areas that I was responsible for even though they had been moved to other teams because of my expertise. I trained and maintained those relationships as an escalation point if needed. I supported the migration of automated tasks to a new and different enterprise scheduler and worked with development teams to create the equivalent scripts that were being used.As part of this team I supported the effort to migrate the entire leave of absence application (LeavePro) in all of its environments and implementations from the data center to AWS. This was about 25 ENV with about 7-10 servers each. Show less -

This includes most of the activities listed below for previous position.• Interviewed all departments and planned out the timelines and development of processes that could be automated to provide higher efficiencies company wide.Continuing to develop solutions for various areas of responsibility mentioned in the previous position (SSO, FTP, etc). I continued to hone and enhance the processes and further standardized code, scheduling, reporting, and alerting, as part of a migration to an enterprise workflow management tool with over 600 operations and 100,000 executions per month. I also worked to establish Monitoring and Alerting standards that are still in use today. I worked closely with external teams to migrate these monitoring points and Alerts to the new standards at Guardian and trained others on the intricacies I had learned over the years that went into each. Many of these designs and training were in collaboration with off-shore teams of many levels. Show less -

I was put in charge of building the remote environments for the biggest client of this company to date.
