In most African states our secondary education curriculum is tailored towards the second and third industrial revolution, which has some human participatory elements. With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution (digital age), machines are taking over most of the jobs at an alarming rate. The skills meant for second and third industrial revolution will not necessarily translate to required skills in the digital age, hence we are training our kids with unemployable skills and the effects are staring us in the face on a daily basis which is leading to our secondary school graduates acquiring digital skills on the street and this half-baked digital knowledge has resulted to cybercrime popularly known as yahoo, yahoo. In the years ahead the only thing that will make human being to be relevant is about doing what we know how to do best, knowledge creation, hence there is an urgent need for curriculum appraisal.
