I was invited to manage the design department and lead design teams. I always focused on the actual skills of designers and organized them to maximize teamwork. Some days I spent in the office with teams brainstorming or presenting something to clients, other days I spent on construction sites overseeing the project and meeting contractors. On Thursdays I performed “design-retreats” which were lectures about design and work optimization. In spite of moving to another country, I continued working remotely and finished projects. I enjoyed collaborative work and I’m grateful for the talented people I worked with.

I was faced with a whole spectrum of responsibilities and honed my ability to successfully function under stress. Self-discipline and time management has helped a lot. This intensive experience taught me how to develop an excellent project with full service. I was responsible for design, communication, management, implementation and purchasing. I hosted lectures and events for designers. I enjoyed the freedom and activity of self-employment, but moving to the US was the priority.

From the first day I felt friendly vibes in the collective. I was taught how to work on real projects for real people. I was so curious about everything! I adapted quickly and became a senior designer after a couple of successful projects, and then went on to become an art director. I developed the first Japan sauna in Belarus and this experience allowed me to explore wellness as a concept. Then and now wellness and wellbeing are the main goals I pursue in every project. Iʼm ever grateful to the studio for seeing my potential and mentoring me.
