As a Bonner Leader at High Point university, I worked at the Community writing Center for four years, learning about, engaging with, and creating long lasting relationships with local students and community residents in the Washington Street area. Growing up in High Point, it was very important to me to be able to be an ally to the community which helped raise me. I found ways to incorporate skills from my major by creating a capstone of a progress book capturing the students year in the program.
