Refugee Camp InterventionProgram Implementation: •Develop and implement MHPSS activities in line with international standards and organizational guidelines, focusing on the specific needs of refugee populations.•Conduct needs assessments and organize mental health awareness activities to increase community engagement and reduce stigma.•Provide psychological first aid (PFA) and other initial support interventions to individuals in distress. 2. Community-Based Support:•Work closely with local leaders, community structures, and other stakeholders to integrate MHPSS services within the existing social framework. 4. Capacity Building and Training:•Provide training for healthcare providers, camp staff, and volunteers on mental health topics, such as mhGAP, psychological first aid, and trauma-informed care.•Conduct workshops to enhance understanding of MHPSS principles and improve the capacity of local resources to respond to mental health needs. 5. Case Management and Referrals:•Coordinate with health and protection teams to ensure comprehensive case management, including referrals for specialized mental health care when needed. 6. Monitoring and Reporting:•Collect data on MHPSS activities and prepare reports to track progress, challenges, and program outcomes. 7. Collaboration and Advocacy:•Act as a liaison between MHPSS services and other sectors (health, protection, education) within the camp to foster a multi-sectoral approach to mental health.•Advocate for mental health support and collaborate with partners to raise awareness and improve accessibility of services for refugees.

The jobs and responsibilities I am carrying out include:- Assesing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with psychiatric disorders.- Provide counseling for survivors of traumatic events, including sexual assault(GBV).- Maintaining accurate records and documentations of patients using the MNS recording standards. Ensure data collected is accurate and submit reports according to the schedule. Write daily to weekly reports regarding the MHPSS.- Identify and screen potential patients from within the community.- Providing training to medical staff and other partners within the region on how to properly diagnose and treat severe and common mental health disorders. - Lead and participate in community mobilization and sensitization on mental health issues.
