I was originally hired as Chief Product and Technology Officer for TurboTax and promoted to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Product and Technology Officer within six months. Quickly, I increased my responsibilities as Chief Information Security and Fraud Officer for entire Intuit organization. As Intuit’s Chief Information Security and Fraud Officer, I delivered security and anti-fraud capabilities to protect Intuit and build trust with customers. Nat, along with his team of security and anti-fraud professionals, focused on automation, scalability, and delivering services to customers. During my tenure with Intuit/TurboTax, I created the companywide vision and strategy for product, information security, technology innovation, and customer experience across the Intuit organization and TurboTax business unit with results that include:► Increased Intuit’s security investment profile by 100%.► Achieved double-digit reductions in internal/external security threats and internal spam within the IT workforce.► Drove significant improvements in the reliability of the TurboTax platform through technology, automation, and process improvements.► Launched several new and innovative products and feature enhancements for the TurboTax business unit including mobile tax filing and live support by certified tax professionals. ► Increased mobile tax filing from less than 1% to over 40% of TurboTax’s 32 million customers in two years.

I was promoted to this newly-created role to head technical operations and payments platform/infrastructure across all products and services after an impressive record of delivering consistent results for this $5.5B+ global online payment solutions leader. ► Led software development and cloud advancements to drive automation across the platform, delivering the highest platform availability in PayPal history and a 20% cost reduction from task simplification and efficiency improvement.► Drove Cloud adoption across all data centers, resulting in one of the largest private open stack production implementations with 10,000 medium-sized virtual machines and a four-fold decrease in computing costs.

My journey with PayPal began in January 2006 when I was hired as the Director of Quality for the newly-formed merchant services business unit. Within a few months, I was asked to lead the engineering teams for the global merchant services business. After growing the merchant service business from its infancy to almost 50% of PayPal’s $5.5B revenue in 2012, I was promoted to Sr. Director for Engineering and Merchant Services and Marketplaces Checkout. I spent one year in Chennai as the GM for PayPal India, and shortly after, I was promoted to VP for the Customer Facing Application Development Team. Summary of my career highlights include:► Directed innovation, development, and merchant/developer/customer product enhancements for PayPal’s 135+ million global customers. Established technology architecture and blueprint for product and technology alignment.► Built the merchant services business to 50% of PayPal’s total revenue during tenure.► Integrated the Verisign payment gateway and 65,000 merchants (representing $100M in revenue) after PayPal’s $400M of the company. ► Led the integration of a 100-person team, business processes, technology, and platform used in 25% of all US e-commerce into the PayPal infrastructure.► Created the global center of excellence model for eight development centers.► Launched two new development centers in India and China.

Engaged by CEO and CTO to drive major transformation effort for transition to Agile software development practices, lead turnaround strategy for QA team, and enhance product quality across all Sabre product lines.► Managed technology refresh and enhancement of platform capabilities for successful transition to Agile iterative development process across four locations worldwide totaling 1,5 00 professionals.

Reporting directly to the company’s CTO, headed an 80-person global engineering team spanning four locations.► Achieved 20% revenue growth by driving multiple large -scale application development programs that resulted in new patented technology innovations.► Led implementation of applications to enhance com pany’s largest revenue -generating product line and increa sed conversion 10% with roll-out of real-time rules-based engines.► Launched company’s office in Bangalore, ramping up 150 offshore engineers in one year while transitioning 75 engineers to full-time status.► Reduced customer-initiated support contacts 15% through the implementation of an IVR system.
