I am a student at Pacific University interested in becoming a physical therapist, specifically in pediatrics. At Pacific, I am majoring in Kinesiology and part of the cross country and track team. I want to be a physical therapist because of the amazing cross over it provides with my love of science, problem solving, hard work, athletics, and helping people reach their goals. I have been interested in PT since sophomore year of high school when distance running led me to a variety of injuries (not a huge shocker!). This past summer I started a job as an Exercise Specialist at Therapeutic Associates. It opened my eyes to the potential of working with kids. I've been researching and connecting with pediatric physical therapists since. This summer, I am planning on observing at multiple different locations for pediatric physical therapy as well as continuing to expand my knowledge of the field by working at Therapeutic Associates.
