My research is part of a large-scale Australian water quality study. By looking at extreme hydrological events (floods and droughts) in Victoria in the last two decades, I hope to identify links between these events and water quality in different catchments, and investigate the spatial-temporal factors resulting in differences in behavior of different constituents. I believe and analyzing trends in water quality in response to extreme events is important to our survival with climate change, as the increasing frequency of extreme events puts increasing pressure on such a vital yet limited resource.I managed to identify spatial trends in the changes in C-Q relationships across Victoria, moving into and out of drought periods. I found that changes in slope and intercept of the linear relationship varied, and that agriculture land use may be a potential predictor for future changes.

Live Projects is a Study Melbourne initiative which provides opportunities for international students to undertake an intensive three-week collaborative project to solve a real business problem for a Victorian Government, business or community organisation. During the program, students work in multidisciplinary teams as business consultants while being supported through a structured program by external mentors.Worked with Study Melbourne as team of project consultants to undertake a market research project to support the development of Hitnet’s medium and long-term marketing strategies into the South East Asian market. The project involved market research, marketing and communication improvement strategies and identification of new revenue opportunities. A final report and presentation summarising insights and recommendations was delivered.

Vacation Industrial Training (Internship) at a Malaysian civil engineering consultant firm with 150 staff. Worked in a team of other interns under professional engineers to assist in the preparation of structural design plans to solve engineering problems. Tasks included using the 'area method' to determine structural loading, and determining the load of designed sewer and drain structures and required pile spacing.
