We are a family on the adventure of a life time. In Aug, 2016 we decided to sell everything and move into a travel trailer. After carefully selecting our future home and spending 4 months remolding it to fell like home we finally moved into our camper in Feb, 2017. We have been comfortably living in our camper ever since. In June, 2017 we took our maiden voyage. What was originally supposed to be a month in Colorado quickly turned into a 44 day excursion through 8 states to San Diego and back to Kansas City. Once in back in Kansas City we sat ideal for almost 3 weeks trying to figure out how we could keep traveling and earn income. After hours of searching, we found a work camping position at a campground in rye, Colorado. We didn't think twice and headed straight to Colorado. We have been able to make several trips to explore Colorado and Wyoming during our off days. We have been to so any amazing places and there are so many more to see. Our work camping gig is coming to an end at the end of September. We have no idea where the road will take us or where the money will come from. We know that we want to keep this lifestyle and share it with the world. We want to inspire other families that anyone can do this. It is not a pipe dream. It is not easy either. As the end of September approaches we are frantically searching for our next gig or source of income that can support this lifestyle. We know our experiences can help and inspire others. We decided to launch our YouTube channel, Backroads Or Bust. We have also set up other social media accounts so others can fallow our adventure. We have teamed up with Amazon and Wix affiliate programs in hopes of generating more income. We are advocates for this lifestyle, and chasing your dreams in general. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. We will do everything in our power to keep this dream and inspire others.

In 2012 I took the company form a loss to a record year with the use of a effective marketing campaign custom tailored for the aviation business. In 2015 our competitor had to close down due to lack of customers and fuel sales. By 2016 fuel sales had increased by 130% since I started in 2011.Created and implemented all marketing and advertising programs, web site design, online listings, print advertising, press release, free advertising, tradeshows and email marketing. Managed every aspect of the FBO. Created their human resources program. Created and implemented employee loyalty programs. In charge of hiring all FBO employees. Increased retention from 3 month average to 3 year average. Performed all accounting operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bad debts, pass due accounts. Managed all facility maintenance, fire inspections, code compliance, all repairs, facility improvements, construction. Managed equipment, purchasing, repairs, modifications, improvements. Managed all fuel farm operations, quality control, repairs, improvements, rehabilitation projects, and compliance. Worked closely with the airport management. Involved in airport improvement programs. Air Show committee. Airport Safety committee. Airport Historical Preservation Committee. Assisted in managing all aircraft maintenance operations, parts purchasing/inventory/sales, work order monitoring, employee time cards, shop organization, and project management.
