About Naushad Akhtar

Started my professional career in 1998 after doing an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an M.B.A. I gained valuable experience in working at different levels in Marketing, Customer support and Software development. I got an opportunity to implement and support Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i and an upgrade to R12. Over years I learned different modules (GL, AP, AR, CE, FA, PO, Inv, iExpenses) while implementing, supporting, enhancing and upgrading the application.Oracle eBusiness suite is an application with unlimited capabilities and a person can never know everything so I am always hungry of knowledge and wanting to know more. This inquest has led me to know and implement new functionalities at GTAA (The Greater Toronto Airports Authority) like Supplier EFT, iProcurement, Min Max automation, AR Dunning, IFRS etc.Recently, I have started of polishing my technical coding knowledge and am writing scripts to produce data and to troubleshoot. I am also taking up the challenge of maintaining Alerts. I provide expertise in design and testing, conduct detailed analysis of business requirements, risk & impact assessment and provide effective solutions to enhance productivity. I have an extensive experience in Oracle Discoverer 10G Suite and have created hundreds of reports.Managing people is an art that I have learned from my MBA education and have practiced over years in implementation and support. In order to be successful you need to now how to deal with people and communicate with them effectively. There has always been a conflict between man and machine and blame is always put on machine, however, in reality it is the other way around. You need to have that art and patience to communicate with people that machines do what they are told to do.
