 Managing a large team of subordinatesTrain and educate team to exceed business expectations and support team through their development programs. Overseeing associate behaviour and ensuring it meets company regulations.  Strong commercial awareness – Understanding and acting on customer needs to effectively ensure strong sales and great customer satisfaction.  Communicating with in store loss prevention (security) staff in order to combat and reduce theft and damages to sales and store products.  Compare sales to the previous year and exceed current sales targets.  Prepare store for compliance and audits.  Handling click and collect deliveries and recording targets and results.  Give performance appraisals.  Deal with customers queries.  Cover store manager when needed.  Managing the payroll, ensuring the work schedule is covered. Providing correct amount of staff daily so that the business can run smoothly. Dealing with sickness, absence and re-scheduling.  Update store health and safety documents on a monthly basis. Pro-actively checking all safety equipment within the building from fire safety to employer and customer safety.  Communicate with contractors for refurbishments and maintenance issues.  Familiar with store opening and closing procedures and effectively follow through.  Complete all paper work which consists of safe system contracts, fitting room logs, daily security searches, visitor logs and delivery manifests.  Cashing up, filling and emptying tills every morning and evening.
