Naveed is a power systems engineer with extensive experience in power system planning. His leadership endeavors and diverse expertise give him a strong foundation for developing solutions at the intersection of policy, research, and strategy. He worked in Pakistan's federally regulated power transmission utility, responsible for planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining high-voltage transmission lines and substations, spanning 220 kV, 500 kV voltage levels, and beyond. As a Fulbright Scholar in California, he studied energy systems and worked as a research assistant on electricity planning, power system resilience, and power sector decarbonization. He has written ten research papers and presented them on various international platforms, including IEEE.Naveed's prime specialization is energy policy and transition through power sector reforms, capacity expansion planning, and substation project development. He is open to working in challenging and dynamic roles in international development on energy governance, power system planning, grid readiness for renewables, and power transmission performance analysis.
