Contracted in a team of 4 students to complete a hackathon project about the optimisation and automation of drawing curves through road intersections for automatic mining trucks.

Part of the QFin UWA trading team with workshops about quantitative finance principles, and developing a trading algorithm for the internal semester competition which my team won.

Insight: Knowing what motivates your team members can help engage them, and the importance of community (caring for/knowing your team) so your team is invested and motivated.Achievement: Reorganising the committee structure, doubling the size, and incorporating systems of work that's allowing for committee members to do what they want to do, and more of it. Directly managed a team of 5 managers and 14 sub-committee members to help as oversight to launch a range of events for the club (opening night, workshops, games night).Appreciation: Trung and Parham especially as event and marketing managers were incredible, plus Agni our president and the rest of the subcom too!

Managed a leadership team of 14 councils and over 160 Year 10 to 12 students to launch over 50 events throughout the 12 months in leadership. While not directly being involved in most of the council-run events, I was able to focus on organising the major events for the leadership team that were:- an interhouse esports competition to encourage more community among students especially those that aren't big fans of sports, debating and other interhouse competitions- a Year 10 trivia night social with Perth College as we noticed more socials at boys schools in a non-party/ball setting can encourage more respectful conversations and connections for the students - a graduates university advice panel for the year 12 students as we noticed year 12 students didn't really know what to expect for universityMain takeaways: How to run a large scale team, for example my relationship with the council captains to ensure councils were able to run their events to when they'd planned, and to ensure all the councils communicated with each other to prevent conflicts. How to manage motivation from teams, and prioritisation of what works, not being stuck on what doesn't (e.g. focusing on Year 11 students to take on more responsibilities as Year 12 non-captains were less motivated)
