Almost every service in the Netflix micro-services mesh, directly or indirectly depends on the APIs, and services to do their job.Individual Contributor, Content Metadata ServicesJuly 2019 - July 2021 Design & Develop Netflix's Content Catalog Infrastructure family of web services, the source-of-truth for content catalog and metadata: titles/videos, tags, synopsis, timeline annotations, ratings, etc.The Content Catalog Infrastructure is responsible for all aspects of Content data and metadata that can go live or not. The criticality of what content cannot go Live is more important than what can go Live. Likewise, the criticality of when content cannot go Live is more important than when content can go Live, etc.These systems need to inter-operate at scale, the data need to flow seamlessly across the ecosystem. The upstreams and downstreams consuming the data make a lot of time critical, user sensitive decisions based on the content metadata, flags and attributes. The entire ecosystem need to work flawlessly, loosely coupled and maintain data integrity and operate at lightening speeds.

Played the dual role of an Architect and an Engineering manager.As part of a small group of architects/engineers, contributed towards the design and implementation of the Yahoo Publishing Platform to consolidate 40+ content systems. The system allows for non-engineers to build and launch Yahoo sites faster than any Yahoo systems before. Yahoo News and 350+ sites in Yahoo migrated to this platform, reducing 10 years of tech debt.As an architect, I built up PoCs for data modeling, data enrichment and data delivery apis and their integration. Also contributed towards content update tools that required zero human involvement, that were deemed critical enough to be made foundation tools for the Yahoo media wide Lego project.As a manager, led a team of 6 to 8 engineers to implement the data enrichment pipeline. Mentored and led the team to deliver a scalable and fault-tolerant pipeline.
