This segment was made up of small IT vendors that focused on point solutions unlike big bigger vendors whose claim to fame was an end-to-end story. The success matrix for this group is driven by number of new logos, This group has registered huge success since its inception and is recognized as one of the success stories at IDC. IDC Events: Over 150 events in a year across Asia/Pacific, IDC events is one of the fastest growing business unit at IDC. As a business lead for Events business:• Responsible for revenue generation and financial viability of the overall events business. • The role involved anticipating, understanding and managing possible disruptions and aligning to shifts & drifts in marketplace. Credited for overhauling some of our high-touch flagship series and growing them, few folds in revenue and delivering greater value to Sponsors and attendees. • Managing region wide collaboration and managing different stakeholders in each country to ensure consistency in events across Asia Pacific• Identifying and working out key alliances to conceptualize and successfully drive new events by engaging different stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Marketing and operations in partner organizations.

Strong growth in Asia compared to other markets led to entry of new and niche players in the region, and there evolved a need to efficiently reach out to this long tail of ICT vendors by repurposing the existing content.
