I completed my Masters in Integrative Genomics. My research focused on the transcriptomic analysis of Candida (yeast) in response to Thymoquinone using RNA-seq.

• Researched and wrote the first comprehensive gap analysis of the entire extractive industry in Afghanistan over a six-month period, which was used as the basis for interagency as well as donor country coordination.• Developed the CNG Transportation and Power Generation Sectors in Afghanistan. • Managed the operations of the first-ever CNG station in the country and tendered it to a private investor on behalf of the Government of Afghanistan.• Volunteered to embed with ISAF/NATO Class III Fuel Logistical Operation Cell at Camp Eggers in Kabul to complete the project on time.

• Wrote policy papers, intelligence products, and read-aheads on my portfolio items including: GLOCs, Strategic Communications, Water security, Indian Ocean region, Floods, Iran/Pakistan.• Provided briefings to prepare senior leadership for press and hill engagements, interagency requests, NSC meetings, foreign visits, as well as foreign dignitary visits, and bilateral meetings.• Provided advice to senior policy and defense leadership on Pakistani affairs, addingcultural, religious, and linguistic nuance and context to better prepare Principals for decisions.

• Contributed to the completion of four long-standing security assistance issues which immediately led to strengthening U.S. defense relations with UAE and NATO.• Completed Qatar strategy paper for Middle East Policy Review Task Force• Recognized directly by the Under Secretary for Policy and a 4-star General for resolution of DoD/State Embassy personnel contract dispute.

• Provided guidance on legislative process to senior leadership by researching defense bills and legislative proposals through use of various databases including Lexis Nexis, THOMAS.• Researched and wrote informational memos for OSD-LA Policy team regarding: New START Treaty, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Middle East, and Missile Defense. • Prepared SECDEF & DEPSECDEF for Congressional testimony by researching and compiling all Congressional Members’ views on various defense issues.
