As a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, I conduct research on the impacts of climate extremes on communities, water resources, and ecosystems, using numerical and statistical models and data analysis tools. I collaborate with faculty and peers from different disciplines and backgrounds.I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where my research was on heatwaves and extreme precipitation. I developed a novel framework to access heatwave hazards and analyzed the mechanism of recent extreme precipitation events over India. I have also acquired multiple certifications in machine learning, deep learning, Linux commands, and shell scripting, enhancing my skills in Python, R, and MATLAB. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to address the challenges and opportunities posed by climate change and to advance the scientific understanding and communication of climate extremes and their risks.
