I was contracted to help manage all projects relative to Water Main Replacement Project as Project Manager in charge. As a Project Manager, I was involved planning, organizing resources, procurement, organising subcontractors and ensuring construction was carried out in accordance to the specifications of the project emphasising on effective implementation of health, safety and environment normsWater Main Replacement Project involved main water pipeline replacement across Adelaide and throughout the state, to deliver safe and clean water to South Australian households and businesses. The SEM Group looks after 27,000 kilometers of pipeline through Adelaide and South Australia. With 638,000 meters being replaced in the past ten years, and 375,000 more to be replaced by 2020.

I am the co-founder and creative director of Investpro Group, which I have worked hard to create with my business partner Shawn Collet. I am responsible for brand development of the company including PR activities such as: marketing, event organisation, promotion, and maintaining online presence via social media. I am responsible for business development and management including: forming business associates, communicating with foreign investors, creating and managing innovative business strategies, and maintaining business finances. My business partner and co-founder of Investpro, Shawn Collett, is responsible for handling clients looking to sell their homes, and building property portfolios with a focus on investing funds in properties for investment.

James Congdon Drive & Richmond Road Upgrade Project I was project engineer on a short term role to help achieve the deadline, controlling everything involved in the project required to achieve that deadline. Various tasks included, but are not limited to: finance management, scheduling of construction and organising subcontractors, ensuring construction was carried out in accordance to the specifications of the project, and supervising worker health and safety - making sure everyone is in a safe work environment and eliminating any work hazards that may arise before injury occurs. One of the critical tasks I had as project engineer was making sure the works did not have any adverse environmental impact, checking for any environmental concerns that may occur prior to the construction work being carried out. I am very passionate about the environment, ensuring there was as little impact as possible.

This role proves quality does come over quantity, working with several other team members in this role including divisional & project managers. I was responsible for managing quality control reports, reviewing the proposed blueprints, checking materials met Australian standards, and helped resolve issues that arose with the quality of construction materials delivered and quality of workmanship.

South Road Superway ProjectValue of ITS Works - $20 MillionMy work in this role involved the construction of Intelligent Traffic System works (ITS). Working solely on the foundation of ITS work, my responsibilities included: conduit and pit instillation, light pole footing, traffic signal footings, and footings for off-alignment works. These works were to be completed before being handed to ITS sub-contractors, which I continued to supervise. Key responsibilities not outlined above included: OH&S, safety inspections, manage scheduling of current works, making sure the forecast fit in to scheduling of work, financing, and maintaining all work ran smoothly through proper incident management.

South Road Superway ProjectValue of CFA Piling Work - $30 MillionThis project involved the construction of 740 CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piles of 1050mm diameter and 27m depth on average. 57 PDA Tests were conducted on test piles.In this project, I was involved in: pre-project briefings, maintaining project documentation – quality, safety, finance, environment, progress, variations, coordination with project manager over equipment and material requirements, supervising workers and making sure that everything ran smoothly.

My role as an In-house Engineer for a builder included the following: organising the quantity of supplies as needed, organising scheduling of work being done, predicting future growth opportunities, designing & drafting residential raft footing and determining energy efficiency of the houses.

Being a qualified in civil engineering I decided to share my knowledge to the next generation. In semester one I taught ‘Engineering Construction’ and in semester two I taught ‘Applied Geotechnics’. My class size consisted of 30-40 students. As a tutor, I supervised various class projects, marked presentation assignments, conducted their exam, as well as I was teaching various sub-topics of the before mentioned semester topics.

As an Officer Trainee, I attended a training session ‘SAMAVESH II’ which lasted for 45 days and that involved: introduction to HPCL, presentations, social events, team building exercises, brainstorming sessions and specific trainings relating to certain departments. After the induction was completed I was given an assignment of managing a flagship outlet of the business, the assignment gave me training in the below mentioned areas: daily cash transactions, management of machinery, organising staff, supervising workers, managing construction activities to upgrade the facility and developing a new garden.

In this role, I worked closely with the after mentioned computer software’s, Auto Cad, Archi Cad, Stad Pro and Microsoft Office. These were used to generate reports and drawings.
