Partnering with the cement business, I supervised the pan India HR teams of East, South & North East regions of India for all HR processes for the Sales, Technical Services, Logistics, Marketing & Sales Development work force to ensure business continuity, people development, engagement and achievement of business objectives.

Reporting to the CEO & MD, I supervised the HR function end-to-end.

Reporting to the CEO & ED, I supervised the HRM function end-to-end.

Head HR

Reporting to the Promoter Chairman and respective MD’s of four group companies, I supervised the HR function of the group and the HR teams of each company.

Reporting to the National Sales Head, I supervised the eastern & north eastern region sales team with revenue, gross margin and cash accountability during 2011-14.

Reporting to the MD, I supervised the HR function end-to-end.

I began my professional career on Jul 1, 1994 as a graduate engineer trainee at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. My career progressed across various functions, plants and businesses during the initial ~15 years of my illustrious stint @ Tata Steel:• 1994-1996: Sr. Officer - Mechanical Maintenance / Production at Tubes Division manufacturing standard and precision welded steel tubes• 1996-1998: Asst. Manager – Operations & Maintenance at Rings Division manufacturing forged and rolled steel rings for bearing industry• 1998-1999: Study Leave, Full time Executive MBA at XLRI, Jamshedpur• 1999-2002: Dy. Manager, Total Operational Performance, McKinsey facilitated structured cost reduction and throughput improvement task force. Worked in Hot Strip Mill, Steel Making & Slab Caster, Cold Rolling Mill, Iron Ore Mines, Sponge Iron Plant, Mechanical technology Group.• 2002-2005: Sr. Manager, Business Excellence (TBEM, TQM, Balanced Scorecard, ISO 9001) • 2005-2008: Head Business HR (Shared Services, R&D and SS, Automation and Tech. Group's).Highly trained in Business Excellence Models (Tata Business Excellence Model/Malcolm Baldrige Model & European Foundation for Quality Management Model (EFQM), I have assessed several group and external companies and helped them to improve business results; audited several units as a lead auditor for ISO 9001, delivered multiple learning and training sessions as an internal trainer and visited management institutes (XIM, Bhubaneswar & XISS, Ranchi) as guest faculty. I was assessed as a hi-pot through a 1.5 days Assessment Center and had a relatively fast track career growth with six promotions and cross functional job rotations during this tenure. With several significant achievements during this tenure with Tata Steel, I have been recognised and rewarded with many awards and accolades. The most significant award was the TOP Award from the MD for achieving cost saving and throughput enhancement bottom-line impact of ~INR 100 Cr.
