Business Leader and Growth Driver ~ 19+ years in Cybersecurity ~ Journey of Many FirstsLike most children, I imagined having a superpower that helped defeat the ‘bad guys’ and save the world. Fortunately, I was able to turn my passion into a career – cybersecurity is my superpower, and securing enterprises’ networks and data my mission! I have been recognised for building trust with clients, aiding them on their digital transformation journeys. Building alliances and onboarding channel partners are my other strengths. This has not only helped my employers establish their brands in recently-entered markets, but also, helped them become one of the leading players in the cybersecurity domain. I joined Softcell Technologies at a time when it had just ventured into the cybersecurity space, as a result of which, I was able to learn about the latest solutions and tools available in the market at that time. My journey of many firsts commenced with my first job itself – I was appointed as the first security administrator for a large Indian bank. Subsequently, I progressed through positions of increased authority with well-known system integrators and firewall vendors. I have been working with Fortinet since 2006. Currently, I am Regional Sales Director accountable for leading a large team for managing sales across West, Central, and East India; Bhutan; and Bangladesh. I have been credited with helping the company become one of the leading players of network security solutions in SAARC region. My firsts here include:✔ Winning Government’s first smart city and first city Wi-Fi projects (security)✔ Helped company gain recognition as first multi-national cybersecurity OEM to successfully establish its footprint in tier 2 cities of India✔ First employee of company in India to win several global Fortinet awardsA good game of badminton, practising yoga, and listening to soothing music help me to stay positive and focused.
