Intern at Department of Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry● A comprehensive analysis of the existing AI ML models in aiding diagnostics and staging of breast and liver cancer using PET-CT● Selected Diagnostic Technology Experience:1. Understood the use of various drugs and radioactive tracers administered, such as FDG, DOPA, PSMA, etc., and their mechanism.2. Observed the process of scanning renal and urinal tract abnormalities using gamma camera on patients. Observed how different patients require different dosages, including how their existing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, body weight, BMI, etc can affect both dose and the image generated.3. It was learned that AI can be used in identification and differentiation of tumour cells/infected cells in comparison to normal cells. Pattern Recognition techniques can be applied with the use of PET markers to identify whether the cell is cancerous, infectious or has any other difference compared to normal cells. Currently majority of the research work has revolved around the use of CNNs, ANNs and GANs for image analysis and feature extraction.
