About Navya Singh
In 9 hours, I’d be 13,000 feet above sea level. I wanted to begin the year with a big bang: skydiving. But, my head seemed to go big bang on me with anxiety. I’d gone bungee-jumping on the Kawarau bridge and encountered a copper shark surfing in Pukehina Beach a week prior, but skydiving was the ultimate devil of all extreme sports. The morning rolled in and I found myself standing before a five-foot, open door of a plane with the wind rushing through my body. It had been 6-months since Crater Lake. “Hey, no fear,” I thought...and jumped. Just like that, I went from pure terror to absolute bliss. My mind was crystal clear...and when I hit the ground, I went from shock to pride; I felt absolute freedom. Extreme sports have taught me to push my mental and physical limits. Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion. Instead of irrational fears keeping me from living, they are now motivation to tackle larger obstacles with a zen, clear mind. Now, I walk into all life challenges, optimistic and grounded. In the past, I allowed my perfectionist tendencies to hold me back, but extreme sports have taught me to take risks and commit, allowing me to overcome the fear of failure. Ultimately, I learned that seeking discomfort is the only way to grow and test my limits. I have adopted this “seek discomfort” growth mindset into all elements of my life as I'm an aspiring product manager. Innovation, Technology and Problem-Solving excite me and I love solving unique business problems, communicating complex ideas to business stakeholders, and combining creativity and strategy when it comes to products. I hope to one day follow these passions of mine into everyday life!Fun Fact: My first-place winner cover photo is a picture I took for the California High School Photography Contest. The picture is hanging in the Capitol in Sacramento till this day!

Product Manager Intern
During my second internship at Microsoft as a Product Manager Intern in Redmond, WA, I had the opportunity to work on impactful initiatives within the Accounts and Services Growth Team, Windows Shell and Services team. One of my key projects involved enhancing user engagement with Microsoft accounts (MSA) by scaling the global retail rollout for Windows CoPilot Customization of Settings. This initiative was a crucial part of the FY25Q1 WinSAS Artificial Intelligence Sprint, where I focused on increasing user interaction and engagement with MSA features. Through careful planning, analysis, and execution, I contributed to a significant expected 5% increase in global user engagement. In addition to this, I led the management of an A/B test on the Windows 10 Second Chance Out of the Box Experience (SCOOBE) value proposition page. This test aimed to highlight the benefits of MSA to users during the crucial onboarding phase. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, content design, and data analytics, I was able to refine the value proposition and improve the user experience. The result was a 6% increase in the MSA Attach Sign-In rate, which translated to over 500,000 additional users engaging with their Microsoft accounts. The success of these initiatives not only exceeded my initial expectations but also provided me with invaluable insights into user engagement strategies and the intricacies of Product Management. Additionally, these projects allowed me to refine my skills in areas such as data analysis, user experience design, and cross-functional collaboration.Beyond my project work, I also had the privilege of being the intern moderator for E+D Intern day and moderated the discussion between a few of Microsoft VP's and interns. This experience further enriched my internship experience, equipping me with leadership skills that will be beneficial in my future career.

I collaborated closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to drive sales and increase brand awareness. Through my efforts, I consistently met or exceeded sales targets and helped to drive overall brand growth while promoting sustainable and ethical practices. Additionally, I was able to revitalize the Guayaki Brand Name by increasing sales in the SoCal region among college students. My experience as a brand ambassador required strong communication and interpersonal skills and I am able to promote and be the face of my favorite caffeine product!
Vice President Of Judicial Affairs
I led and managed the judicial board for USC's Panhellenic Council, which is the largest women organization at USC with over 2000+ members. Product Manager Intern
During my internship at Microsoft as a Product Manager with the Windows + Devices SPACE Experiences team in Redmond, WA, I had the exciting opportunity to work on a project experiment for the accounts.microsoft.com (AMC) Homepage, focusing on Security and Privacy. The main goal was to enhance non-subscriber engagement by redesigning and expanding the Security and Privacy drawers on the homepage while also instilling more confidence in Microsoft account security and privacy. Throughout this project, I successfully completed the entire end-to-end Product Management process. The journey began with scenario understanding, revising my hypothesis, and conducting a thorough competitive analysis. I then proceeded to write the Product Manager Specification (PM SPEC). Over the following two months, I delved into the analysis of clicks data, collaborated closely with Content Design to create impactful Strings, worked with Engineering for experimentation and rollout, and collaborated with DAS for scorecard analysis. My initial hypothesis projected a 7-15% increase in engagement, but to my delight, the actual experiment yielded outstanding results, with the Security and Privacy drawers experiencing a remarkable 31.54-103.5% increase. This growth extended to the Security and Privacy verticals as well, far surpassing the original expectations.Throughout the internship, I honed my skills in various areas, including Clarity, Power BI, Sigma, problem-solving, Data Analysis, Product Management, and understanding Customer Needs. The experience allowed me to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge in these key competencies.Aside from my primary project, I also had the privilege of leading my cohort in the Intern Aspire Leadership Program. Over four weeks, I focused on empowering growth mindsets and fostering lasting connections among the participants.

One of my key focus areas was sustainability and I closely collaborated and advocated with the Sustainability Committee and Environmental Student Assembly. I worked to secure funding for sustainable initiatives, promote green policies, and implement environmentally friendly practices on campus. I was also able to successfully execute several personal passion projects, such as the 24-Hour Starbucks, Fryft Research, and creating a California-Wide University Coalition that helped the student life of the university.
