I work at Desq, a creative agency specialising in the design and development of digital L&D solutions for some of the world’s smartest companies. In the Head of Production/Senior Producer role I'm involved in many aspects of making Desq work - from managing projects, scheduling both internal and external resources, sales and marketing, to being part of the Senior Management Team.As a Senior Producer, I'm responsible for leading the production of the learning resources we make. It's a varied and challenging role that includes working closely with clients to understand their requirements and the needs of their learners, then managing the production of high quality resources. When leading production activity my role includes learning design and content management, and collaborating with the team at Desq to design and develop resources. What we make can range from engaging elearning to sim type learning games, and everything in between. The variety of the work is part of the attraction of the work for me, no two projects are the same. A key activity is ensuring quality - we deliver resources that engage and deliver memorable learning experiences - so they must be accurate and work flawlessly for that to happen.I've been at Desq since 2002, starting as an Assistant Producer, and have worked with clients in both the public and private sectors. Clients have included the BBC, BP, Discovery, the Education and Training Foundation, Fujitsu, Goodyear, PwC, and the TUC.My skills include: - Performance management - Production management - Learning design - Content management - Quality management - Business development - Line management Outside of work I spend a lot of time taking my children to various sporting activities! When I do get some time to myself, I enjoy cycling, walking and reading - and watching most types of sport on TV.
