Nay is a geotechnical engineer with academic background in structural engineering and finite element modelling. He graduated with Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from University of Bedfordshire in 2019 and completed Master of Professional Engineering (Civil and Structural) from Queensland University of Technology in 2022 covering advanced knowledge in other civil engineering disciplines such as transport, water and construction engineering. Throughout the completion of his master’s degree, he has developed knowledge in Civil Engineering practices across Australian Engineering Industry including design standards, tools, and manuals. Nay commenced an internship with WSP in 2021 and started his Graduate Geotechnical Engineer role in 2022.Having a strong interest in challenging and cutting-edge projects to develop knowledge and experience, Nay has continuously been involved in detailed design projects that required the technical knowledge in soil mechanics and numerical analysis throughout his time with WSP. This has developed his adaptability to provide valuable input into transport infrastructure, mining and property projects. This industrial skill set and experience from geotechnical point of view, together with structural academic background, allows him to be able to contribute to multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to closure including investigation scoping, complex design, analyses, construction phase support and understanding of risk and variations associated with engineering design works.
