Trained machine operators and workers directly or indirectly involved with machines to improve product and service quality. This program turned out to be an effective cost savings program by reducing quality-associated costs by 30%. QI Analyst and datastream 9000 software was being used to develop control charts, identify process averages for defects, defect analysis and reporting structure.- Extensively used MRP II to initiate & develop production plans, Master schedule, WIP and inventory, shop control activities for over 760 different line items to meet committed sales requirements. The product line became more flexible to meet and accommodate sudden sales demand.

The research was funded and promoted by the National Science Foundation, IBM, Motorola and Material Handling Research Center of Georgia Tech. through a research grant.- Designed and developed a new, novel and cost effective method for easy and reliable recognition of an isolated part on a horizontal surface, by a robot fitted with a Stinger 70 DVT vision system.- Developed a software package in ‘C’ to model 3D parts, obtain perspective images and obtain the parts exact position and orientation by image processing. Also, developed simple image processing routines involving date structure manipulation to compute geometric properties of an image. -
