• MIMG 109AL - Research Immersion Lab in Microbiology • Guide students in conducting self-directed research projects which focus on the discovery of rhizospheric microorganisms involved in nutrient cycling, antibiotic production, antibiotic resistance, plant growth promoting properties, and other scientific inquiries.• Provide hands-on instruction in microbiology and molecular biology techniques including microorganism cultivation and purification, eDNA extraction, PCR, 16S rDNA sequencing, and conducting biochemical and functional assays on unknown microbial isolates.
