As a Senior Policy Advisor at the Government of Alberta, I support the Ministry of Health in regulating health professionals in Alberta, and in developing and implementing evidence-based policies and programs. I have a background in policy and public health, with a Masters in Public Health specializing in Health Policy and Management from the University of Alberta, and with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Dhaka. I pursued the Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders, which demonstrates commitment to leadership excellence in the health sector.I am passionate about project management, stakeholder management, community engagement and volunteering. I have over three years of experience in planning and executing health, awareness, DEI and different other projects for various organizations, including private and non-profits. I have also worked in the tech/media industry for six years, managing content and media relations for Zeno Media, a US-based tech company. I enjoy writing articles and creating knowledge translation tools to raise awareness on public health issues, such as COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, and mental health. I am motivated by the vision of building a healthy, sustainable, and inclusive society.I co-founded a non-profit called Active Action, where we provide support for professional development and personal growth, as well as raise awareness on health and social issues.
