Having spent years in the import-export industry, I see it as my duty to uplift the Malays with ideas and strategies that will secure our place in a rapidly evolving world.I have always viewed my role in business, particularly in the import-export industry, as a stepping stone to something far greater. Commerce may shape economies, but leadership shapes nations. As a Malay nationalist, I see it as my duty to address the weaknesses of the Malay community. The time has come for us to accept that no one else will lift us up. The responsibility falls squarely on our shoulders.The reality is this: every race must take care of its own future. No one will care for our survival, our progress, except ourselves. We cannot rely on others to address our weaknesses or to uplift our people. If we don’t do it, who will? The world is not waiting for us to catch up; it moves forward relentlessly. Therefore, we must rise, we must formulate our own ideas, and we must chart our own path forward.It is my belief that leadership is about recognizing the challenges of your people and acting decisively to overcome them. For the Malays, it is not merely about survival, it is about advancing with dignity and purpose. We must take ownership of our future, not just for ourselves but for the greater good of Malaysia. It is not just a matter of pride, but of necessity, that we forge ahead with strategies that are born from within, from our understanding of our own strengths and weaknesses.We must always remember: no one will come to save us. The responsibility is ours, and with determination, we will prevail.
