I have three years experience in the oil and gas industry working as an Assistant Contracts Engineer, until I was made redundant in June 2015. I handled various frame agreements and charter parties for the Assets and Services department, and am confident handling LOGIC and BIMCO based contracts. In my role I secured vessels on single voyage charter parties for specific project work. Additionally, I was involved with vessel maintenance periods and dry docks, completing budget forecasts and capturing actual costs.Notable achievements were producing a standard set of qualifications to the BIMCO document that the business most commonly used and providing the commercial support on the Bibby Sapphire Dry Docking in January 2015.Most recently I have been working in one of Glasgow's premier fine dining restaurants which has been a new and interesting challenge. Certainly my customer service and leadership skills have improved. However, I am now looking for a new job in the shipping or oil and gas industry where I can put my skills to best use.
